Boil water advisory still in effect for 2,000 Jackson Water customers

By on June 21, 2021 0

A boil water advisory is still in effect for approximately 2,000 Jackson well water customers. A new pump arrived for the TV Road well on Friday, which will replace a temporary pump that has returned water to most people in the TV Road water well system. The city had to wait for additional parts to install the new pump. Jackson’s public works manager Charles Williams said he plans to start work on the TV Road water well next week. Williams said there were a few things left to work on. “Dismantle the well now that has a temporary pump and we’re going to put a new shaft, a new column, a new pump in place and then get it back and hopefully get it back online next week,” Williams said. Williams has asked residents to call 311 to report the water issues.
