Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association Appoints Frank Wolak as President and CEO

WASHINGTON, September 1, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA), the national association representing more than sixty leading companies and organizations, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Franck Wolak exercise the functions of President and Chief Executive Officer, from September 3, 2021. Mr. Wolak will replace the Morry Markowitz after an exceptional period of ten years. Mr. Wolak was most recently Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Market Development at FuelCell Energy, Inc., a longtime member of FCHEA, and previously was Chairman of the Board of Directors of FCHEA.

During his tenure at FuelCell Energy, Mr. Wolak pioneered and developed some of the world’s most innovative and significant fuel cell technology applications and worked closely with the US Department of Energy and Congress. to define and maintain programs for hydrogen and fuel cells. In addition to his commercial and federal successes, Mr. Wolak has been instrumental in shaping state-level policies to enable the growth of the fuel cell and hydrogen markets.

Mr. Wolak has over 30 years of experience in all facets of energy, including leadership positions outside of the fuel cell industry at an international energy services company, development company and d ‘energy investment, a public energy resources company and as a management consultant providing information to clients in emerging technology and utility segments.

Frank is a founding member of the Connecticut Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Coalition, former chairman of the California Stationary Fuel Cell Collaborative, was appointed Governor of the New Jersey Fuel Cell Task Force and previously served two terms in the appointment of Secretary of Commerce. to the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee.

Mr. Wolak holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western University of New England and an MBA in Finance from University of Hartford.
