Hackaday Prize Hacking Cat 2022

By on April 11, 2022 0

Join us on Wednesday, April 13 at Noon Pacific for the 2022 Hackaday Prize Hack Chat with Majenta Strongheart!

Let’s face it: this world is pretty broken right now. From environmental crisis to disease and famine, to shortages of just about everything, infrastructure failures, not to mention wars and social collapse, things are getting more complicated. While it’s tempting to just curl up and pretend everything is fine, that probably won’t work, even as a short-term plan.

Luckily, we hackers are uniquely positioned for situations like this. After all, we fix things, and we certainly live in an environment rich in targets of things that need to be fixed. Plus, nothing gives us as much satisfaction as taking a situation everyone thinks is beyond help and turning it into a solved problem.

These are the times when people like us can really shine, and Hackaday Prize 2022 is the perfect forum for that. With this year’s theme of sustainability, resilience and circularity, we all have the opportunity to contribute. To help us get started, Majenta Strongheart, Head of Design and Partnerships at Supplyframe, will be dropping by the Hack Chat with all the details on this year’s prize.

Get ready to ask her how the prize will work this year, find out about the different challenge opportunities, and learn everything there is to know about this year’s competition. It’s the biggest hardware design challenge on Earth, and we need it now more than ever.

Our Hack Chats are live community events in the Hack Chat group messaging. This week, we will meet on Wednesday, April 13 at noon Pacific Time. If you’re stuck with time zones, we’ve got a handy time zone converter.
