As for the specs, the Mahindra Thar has halogen headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, 18 inch alloy rims, height adjustable driver’s seat, steering system 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument panel with TFT screen, multifunction steering wheel, roof-mounted speakers, electrically operated HVAC controls, monitoring system tire pressure and cruise control. It benefits from safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, rear park assist, TPMS, electronic stability program, electronic power steering, hill hold control and hill descent control. The Thar comes with a mechanical locking differential for the rear axle and a brake locking differential for both axles. The front axle disconnect function is standard. The Force Gurkha 2021 features Force Pro Edge LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED fender-mounted turn signals, 16-inch steel wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, hydraulic power steering with tilt and telescopic adjustment, HVAC, power windows, central locking and all four captain’s seats. Among its safety features are dual airbags, rear parking sensors, cornering lights, ABS with EBD and TPMS. In addition, mechanical differential locks at the front and rear are standard.

The Mahindra Thar comes with a few engine options – 2.0 liter petrol mStallion 150 Turbo-GDi (150 hp maximum power and 320 Nm maximum torque) and 2.2 liter diesel mHawk 130 (130 hp maximum power and 300 Nm of maximum torque). The two motors can be combined with either a 6-speed MT torque converter or a 6-speed AT torque converter. A 4WD system is standard in the Thar. The Force Gurkha 2021 uses a 2.6-liter Mercedes-derived diesel engine (91 hp maximum power and 250 Nm maximum torque). The motor is coupled to a 5-speed MT. The Gurkha 2021 also receives a 4WD system as standard.
