PGCIL approves investments worth Rs 677 cr for transmission projects

Power Grid Corporation (PGCIL) said on Thursday that its board had approved investments worth Rs 677.59 crore for transmission projects.

At its meeting held on February 2 (Wednesday), the “Project Investment Directors Committee” approved investments worth Rs 677.59 crore, it said in a filing. BSE.

The projects include “Transmission System for Power Evacuation from Pakaldul HEP in Chenab Valley HEPs-LTA System” at an estimated cost of Rs 318.12 crore, which is scheduled to be commissioned in by April 2025 (corresponding to Pakaldul Hydroelectric Power Generation (HEP)).

The panel also approved the “Reinforcement Scheme of Transmission System for Power Evacuation from Solar Power Areas in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase II Part G1” for a cost estimated at Rs 359.47 crore.

Its commissioning is scheduled for September 2023.
