Prime Minister orders Energy Minister to urgently visit KP to monitor restoration of power supply

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed Energy Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir to immediately travel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to monitor restoration work on the flood-hit electricity transmission system.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – Aug 31, 2022): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday instructed Energy Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir to immediately travel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to monitor network restoration work transmission line affected by the floods.
The Prime Minister, chairing an urgent meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of electricity, road and communication infrastructure, also asked the general managers of the electricity distribution companies to ensure their presence in their respective cities for the resolution of the complaints of the audience.
He asked the heads of distribution companies to publish their names and contact details to facilitate people and deal with their complaints.
The Prime Minister convened the urgent meeting shortly after his arrival from the flooded areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to review the work of the Frontier Works Organization and other departments for the rehabilitation of infrastructure and other damages.
Senior officials from the FWO and relevant ministries attended the meeting during which the Prime Minister was briefed on the current flood situation and rehabilitation efforts.
