The most boring hole in golf? – GolfWRXers discuss – GolfWRX
Callaway Golf today unveiled the new Apex Black irons – a forged iron engineered with artificial intelligence for maximum ball speeds presented in a sleek Black Plasma PVD finish.
The clubs feature an AI-designed Flash Face Cup, with the unique AI architecture in each iron engineered to create high ball speeds and increased spin robustness across the face.
Callaway has also implemented its Tungsten Energy Core in the irons, with 5 times the tungsten of the Apex 19, allowing engineers to precisely position the center of gravity to promote excellent launch and increased forgiveness on off-center hits.
The Apex Black is 100% forged from a 1025 mild carbon steel body, with the brand’s patented urethane microspheres engineered to deliver exceptional sound and feel at impact.
The stock shaft on the new Apex Black is a black True Temper Elevate MPH 95 shaft, and the grip is Golf Pride Z Grip Soft (black). Additionally, custom steel options are available at no additional cost, and other graphite options are available as custom offerings.
The new clubs are available at retail starting September 30, 2022 and are priced at $215 per club/steel and $229.98 per club/graphite (Stock graphite shaft is UST Recoil Dart Black 75).
