West Seattle Blog… | TRAFFIC ALERT: Bus / power line incident closes 35th South West north of Roxbury
12h14: Thanks to Steve for the picture. Avoid the 35th SW to and north of Roxbury. An incident involving two buses, an electric pole and power lines blocked the 35th in both directions. No injuries were reported and everyone got off the buses, but SPD, SFD and Metro all arrived at the scene.
12h24: SPD says it started when another vehicle hit a utility pole, knocking it over on both buses. Our crew in the area reports that the 35th is stranded at Cambridge (in both directions).

12:30 p.m .: We spoke to a sergeant at the scene who said there was NO third vehicle – the RapidRide bus was dropping someone off, the 120 bus was passing and maybe had a mechanical problem and ended up hit the post. City lights
arrived is expected at the scene to take care of the fallen wires as well as the post.
This can get stuck for a while, so if you need to go east / west in the south end, use Barton instead.
2:55 p.m .: Thanks to the texter who sent the photo above, showing the downed post. At the site right now, the buses have left, but City Light remains:
