- Henderson is a player who sticks to what works, using a driver and fairway wood that has been replaced twice in the PING range since its release in 2017. The Canadian has made some changes though, changing her shaft of driver in 2022 which measures 46 inches to allow him to grip the club. Henderson has also updated her wedge and hybrid models, while she’s yet another Tour player to stick with the i210 irons.
- PING has had a great year on the LPGA Tour, with the ‘Tour Staff brand winning three of four completed majors on the top women’s tour, including one that will be played at the AIG Women’s Open in two weeks. Henderson’s second major title is also the third in 2022 to be won with the i210 iron model designed for the player’s back.
- Henderson’s equipment is representative of another trend in professional golf, with a 24-year-old player using a graphite shaft in her putter. Its mallet head matches the graphite shaft offered in the company’s milled PLD models.
Signing to play TaylorMade’s TP5x golf ball in January of this year, Henderson now has two LPGA Tour wins since switching to the five-piece design which is the firmest of the high-end designs in the brand.
QUOTATION: “In 2016, winning the first major changed my life. My world ranking skyrocketed and I just got a ton of extra attention from the fans and the media. You know, it also gave me the feel like I really belong here and I can fight for big major championships and compete with the best in the world, which is an amazing feeling. It’s been a long time, and starting this week fast, it’s been great to to top the leaderboard of a major tournament. I just tried to push that excitement as far as I could. – Brooke Henderson.
