- Felton’s win continues a strong 2022 for all-around Titleist players on the PGA Tour of Australasia, adding to wins for Dimi Papadatos at the Vic Open and Jed Morgan at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship.
Interestingly, the 26-year-old carries two 4-irons in his bag, with the T200 utility iron offering more forgiveness and greater ball speed than his muscle-blade 4-iron. The hollow body model also features a graphite shaft and plays longer in measured length, which adds more distance and fits between its 3 woods and other irons.
It was a putt for a birdie on the 18th hole that gave Felton the title, the last day of play canceled after heavy rain hit Bonnie Doon Golf Club around 3 p.m. Sunday. The 54-hole scores held and a shoot-off between Felton and Brendan Jones saw Felton emerge victorious from the first hole of sudden death. The putter he used described by his temporary caddy, James Marchesani, as almost like Tiger Woods’ “Elderwand”.
